While other hotels are pulling out the stops when it comes to perks, the Rancho Bernardo Inn in San Diego is doing exactly the opposite. Believe it or not, the property is running a special offer called the "Survivor Package" from August 16-31 that gives guests the option to lower the price in exchange for shedding perks. Rooms start at $219 and plummet from there, depending on what extras you're willing to live without. Of course, "extra" is a relative term here—give up the honor bar and your room rate drops to $179 per night, walk away from sheets and you're looking at $109 per night. Willing to sleep on the floor? If you can do without a bed, you can score a room for a jaw-dropping $19 per night.
